Browser market share numbers are out for October from Net Applications. Chrome made the biggest gains with a 0.49 percent jump from September to 8.47 percent. Chrome is the third most popular browser after Internet Explorer (59.26 percent) and Firefox (22.82 percent). Both FireFox and IE saw their overall market share positions erode slightly by 0.39 percent and 0.14 percent, respectively. Safari was up a smidge (0.06 percent)

Arcade Fire has released a really cool video. It uses HTML5 and allows you to input your address where you grew up and have the video take place there. It uses Google Maps views and Street View as well as other video and music of course. Check it out here. I think it an only be viewed correctly with Google Chrome who is a partner in the experiment. HTC has created a tablet that will run Google's Chrome OS and will be sold by Verizon. Chrome OS seems a little redundant considering Google's Android OS. Android is being used on Dell's Streak tablet already. I am still not totally clear on what the difference is between the two OSs. Android seems to be App-centric while Chrome seems Browser-centric.
